W2 postcode outperforms prime central London

The National article by Lucy Barnard responds to the evolvement of Bayswater, West London, highlighting the recent rising property prices and shifts in resident demographics. The article refers to the Knight Frank report, pointing out that the W2 postcode has outperformed the prime central London average over the past two years in a move out of the famous ‘golden postcodes’.

Barnard additionally refers to the pattern of converting hotels into luxury homes, an example being The Hempel Collection development, on the sites of two former period hotels. The piece refers to the garden square that was used in the iconic British movie Notting Hill. Barnard also refers to the second phase, which includes 18 more apartments, due to finish in early 2016.
